Accessing the solar website:

Wilderland has two websites, one always-on, higher resolution website that is heavier to run, and one experimental, situated site, that is solar powered, and in the Nephin Park

The solar site might not always be on or available, it also has other quirks, and will be slower. Adjust your expectactions for this Permacomputing + Small Web alternative.

Community Gathering & Boxty Evening

DATE: 12 Jun, 2024
TIME: 06:30 PM - 09:00 PM

Join us for a boxty-making evening and introduction to the Wilderland project.

We invite you to join us for a community gathering and boxty-making evening at Mount Jubilee School. We'll learn how to make boxty (a type of fried bread made with grated raw potato and flour), sample different recipes and share local food customs, and talk about the potato and its place in Irish culture.

This social event is an opportunity to meet and chat with fellow participants in the Wilderland project and the communities living around Wild Nephin National Park. We'll have refreshments and boxty for all, and we encourage everyone to bring their own recipes or homemade food to share. We also invite you to bring a tradition, ritual, or story to add to the fireside gathering.

We’ll also hear about the Wilderland public art and climate action project, and how you and your community can join its collaborative art and ecology projects over the next year.

All welcome!

FREE entry, no booking required.
